HyperWeek 2.0 released codename Miles
After half-year of work, we have released HW2.0 on some of our new networks that will be announced soon with a new revamped website. So here’s our internal list of new features that clearly do not include all the small but crucial improvements that we did on our platform. 2.0
Why Miles ? Well, HW 2.0 will power the intranet of the fabulous Montreux Jazz Festival, where Miles Davis gave one of the best live concerts of his life. That’s a good reason.
* New design and new integration of the ShareBox
* HTML5 video player
* Lightbox to view content without leaving the stream
* Microblogging now ships with hashtag support.
* Refactored search.
* Added hashtag support on search.
* Django 1.3
* jQuery 1.6.2
* Added django-announcements. Removed legacy app.
* Better i18n content support and integration
* Database agnostic support (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle…)
* Added User Directory page.
* Now use django-taggit instead of django-tagging.
* Removed django.emencia.newsletter dependency.
* Development environnement now longer needs redis and solr.
* Refactored Channel with mptt algorithm.
* Added better RTE based upon TinyMCE.
* Added sentry to collect errors.
* Now use reCAPTCHA instead of pyCAPTCHA.
* Lot of bugfixes.

Plusieurs grandes entreprises de la région se sont montrés intéressées par notre produit et cela a débouché sur plusieurs mois de travail collaboratif avec elles. Il était très intéressant de croiser les retours et de repenser notre plateforme dans un environnement qui est complètement remis en question face à la montée en puissance des nouveaux comportements induits par Facebook et Twitter.
