HyperWeek.com is looking for an experienced developer. This is a key hire, and you will take a smart position in the company. You have strong development and database experience, and are ready to co-lead the technology of this early-stage start-up through the exciting growth phase we have embarked upon.

• Can easily work on the Django platform and code in Python, or will have no problem ramping up to it quickly
• Appreciate web standards, W3C specifications and browser-specific peculiarities, appreciate web evolutions and learning new methods
• Are detail-oriented, professional, and self-directed
Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing

• Key Areas of Responsibility:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Development of Python powered web applications
• XHTML/CSS template creation and modification
• MySQL database development
• Draft site/page diagrams and participate in the concept and review processes
Publishing social widgets on internal server and customer sites
• Connecting Video APIs with CDN and Encoding services
• Quality Assurance testing on all work

Qualifications

The candidate must have proven ability and qualifications in the following areas:

• 2-3 years experience in a web development role
• Strong OO analysis and design
• Experience with Apache & Linux, other Java app servers a plus
• Experience with one or two of following: WebLogic, MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle
• Solid understanding of relational databases including stored procedures, indexes, and schema design
• Strong Interests for socialmedia & medias
